Based on his surviving pen and ink sketches, Illustration was completed after Tissot’s death in 1902 by Henri Bellery-Desfontaines, Auguste François Gorguet, Charles Hoffbauer, Louis van Parys, Michel Simonidy and British artist G. Scott.
