Saint Peter released from prison. 1812. Location unknown. This work is a preliminary study for a larger painting (now in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston) that was commissioned by Sir George Beaumont as the altarpiece for the parish church at Coleorton, Leicestershire, the country seat of the Beaumont family.
